When you use our “Schools Near Me” or GPS proximity feature, your browser asks permission to share your current coordinates. This calculation occurs locally on your device to compute distances to nearby institutions within your chosen radius (1 km – 15 km). We do not record, track, or sell your continuous GPS coordinates.

4. Source of School Information (UDISE+ Open Data)

All institutional details displayed on SchoolRank (school names, UDISE+ identifiers, teacher counts, student-teacher ratios, management types, and infrastructure details) originate from official open datasets published by the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education, Government of India under National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policy (NDSAP).

5. Cookies & Local Preferences

SchoolRank uses local cookies and browser local storage strictly to remember functional UI preferences, such as your selected region (e.g., Delhi, Maharashtra) and your color scheme preference (Light or Dark mode). You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options.

6. Data Protection Rights & Children's Privacy

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. SchoolRank does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13.
