Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using SchoolRank (including nearby.schoolrank.in and schoolrank.in), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement.
1. Description of Service
SchoolRank provides a comprehensive, unbiased public search and exploration engine aggregating over 1.5 million verified Indian schools across 28 States and 8 Union Territories. The platform empowers parents and students with raw government UDISE+ open data, geographic radius filters, pincode lookup, and pupil-teacher ratio comparisons.
2. Official Data Disclaimer
School information displayed on SchoolRank is derived from statutory open data published by the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education, Government of India. While we employ automated and manual validation pipelines to verify accuracy, administrative policies, live fee structures, seat vacancies, and admission criteria remain under the exclusive jurisdiction of individual schools and their respective boards. Parents are strongly advised to verify final admission requirements directly with school authorities.
3. Strict Non-Commercial Neutrality
SchoolRank does not charge schools for ranking positions, search placements, or verified badges. No educational institution or commercial coaching trust may purchase preferential placement on our portal.
4. Intellectual Property & Open Government Data
Government UDISE+ datasets remain governed by the National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policy (NDSAP) of India. The proprietary search algorithms, geospatial indexing frameworks, user interface components, and site code of SchoolRank are protected by intellectual property laws.
5. Third-Party Links & Advertisements
SchoolRank may display third-party advertisements (such as Google AdSense) or links to external websites (e.g., official school portals or state education boards). SchoolRank does not control or endorse the content or policies of third-party websites and assumes no liability for their practices.
6. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SchoolRank shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the directory. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, with courts having exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising hereunder.
